The selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM), S-4, commonly referred to as Andarine, is best known for its ability to promote anabolism in the bone and muscle tissues, in subjects.

Like other anabolic agents, S-4 binds to androgen receptors in order to initiate tissue growth, however, SARMs have been shown to cause fewer adverse side effects than typical anabolism-promoting compounds.

In addition to its ability to induce growth in muscle and bone tissue, research is currently being conducted to examine the anti-cancer effects potentially elicited by Andarine.
