LGD-4033 is a selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM), commonly referred to as Ligandrol. The compound is currently being researched in order to determine its potential to reduce cases of muscle wasting and degeneration.

LGD-4033 has been shown to selectively bind to the androgen receptors, indicating that it mimics the effects of testosterone without the occurrence of many of the associated side effects. Preclinical animal models of investigation have come to the conclusion that Ligandrol enhances anabolic activity, resulting in improved muscle mass and bone density, in subjects.
